It’s been nearly 12 months since a hard-fought victory was secured in Queensland to allow women to have the right to make their own decisions about their own bodies. It is disgraceful that even now the LNP are still showing no internal integrity or leadership on this issue.

The Queensland Labor Party State Conference was held last week. It was an opportunity to get involved in debate, form future policy, share new ideas and elect party leaders. Unlike other political parties, the conference is open to the greater public and the media, so I’d encourage any interested locals to come along next year.
